Let’s face it. Some office parties are truly memorable and others… well, let’s say far from epic. Whether you have been charged with planning this year’s holiday office party or simply thinking of hosting a party at home, our six- holiday party planning tips are a good place to start. Every office is different. Take them or leave them, we wish you a happy festive season!
TGFC’s 6 Holiday Office Party Planning Tips
1.) Set a budget. Stay within your budget and your boss will be pleased.
2.) Assemble a team of holiday helpers. The more the merrier! Divide tasks for less stress.
3.) Choose a location. The office conference room is always budget friendly. But if you can splurge, choose a venue that everyone can travel to easily and caters to all diets. (Don’t forget the vegetarians.)
4.) Choose an inclusive theme. This is a time for everyone to enjoy the festive season. Some ideas to get you started: Masquerade Ball, Santa’s Workshop, Christmas Around the World, Christmas Carol Karaoke.
5.) Plan activities. An oldie but goodie – Secret Santa.
6.) Skip the Potluck. While this could be budget-friendly, in reality potlucks can be a hassle to organise. We suggest hiring a caterer who will take care of crockery, cutlery, glassware and service.
